SALEM OREGON SATURDAY MARKET

Image
First cousin to the Portland Saturday market and distant relation to the Seattle pikes market, the Salem community push on a Saturday market with farm produce, honey, crafts, food courts, music, art— Picked up some farm fresh corn and spinach and watched people for a couple of hours. We ate the obligatory fried potato item and drank strong coffee;  good morning.

DAY 30, 31, 32 SALEM OREGON ADVENTURES

Image
We pulled into Salem, Oregon, with the COBERLY’S—a month into our trip. Tired. Dirty. Everything filthy. Started today with re-tooling and cleaning/ refurbishing. Did 8 or 9 loads wash, etc.. On the fun side of the scorecard — day (1), we had a late lunch at a local winery. Stone cooked wood fired pizza, salad and beverages. Self guided tour of the nearest grape vines.  We also got a treat with fresh picked berries magically transformed into a pie by Bill Coberly—single handed! Picked, cooked, put in crust, served w ice cream πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž Oh yeah-  Grape vine self tourπŸ₯Ί Here are a few from past week or so. These caught my eye as decent photographs
